Giovanna Campogiani is an Italian and European patent attorney, admitted to practice before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM), the European Patent Office (EPO) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). She is also admitted to practice before the Unified Patent Court as a European Patent Litigator. She holds a M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome, and she also obtained a PhD in Particle Accelerator Physics from the same university, carrying out activities at leading national and international centers.

Italian native speaker, fluent in English, good knowledge of French, knowledge of Spanish and German.

Work experience

She obtained her M.Sc. in 2015 and her PhD in 2018, with research and training activities carried out at various laboratories including the National Laboratories of Frascati of the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) and the Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste laboratory.

In parallel with her studies, she carries out teaching support activities, both within academic curricula and through complementary training activities in Italy and Europe via university student networks. She receives several scholarships and awards.

She joined the Firm in 2018, and since then she has assisted leading Italian and foreign companies, as well as technology transfer offices and innovative startups, in the filing and prosecution of patent applications.

Professional activity

Her activity comprises advising clients in matters of industrial property, with particular reference to the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in Italy and abroad, in particular in Europe, America and Asia.

She is the author of scientific publications and a speaker in national and international contexts.

She assists Italian and foreign clients in the management of patent practices and in proceedings before national and international industrial property offices.
